Divisional Facilities

The full scope of clinical reproductive endocrine and infertility services can be rendered at facilities within the Duke University Clinics & Hospitals. There is an adequate flow of outpatient, ambulatory surgical, inpatient surgical and hospitalized patients for our RE&F training program. The RE&F divisional facilities include:

  • 6 faculty/administrative offices with appropriate secretarial staffing, a conference room, dictation and transcribing equipment

  • PCs with Internet connection and software for word processing, slide making, spreadsheets and statistics, as well as, printers. The OB-Gyn Department also maintains a separate computer laboratory with a slide maker for the entire faculty and staff that is also available to the fellows

  • 2 research laboratories equipment and support for investigative projects, including animal facilities: the Molecular Endocrinology Lab and the Embryology Lab

  • The Andrology & Embryology Laboratory

  • The Duke Fertility Center includes approximately 9,600 square feet of space, which is home to a new IVF laboratory built under the supervision of Alpha Environmental, Inc.   RE&F has its own separate clinic area with 7 exam rooms, divisional ultrasound facilities, waiting area and administrative offices. Two vaginal ultrasound scanners are maintained exclusively for follicular monitoring in the IVF and ovulation induction programs. The Embryology Laboratory’s procedure rooms are contiguous with the RE&F clinic. Number of patient visits for reproductive endocrine and infertility problems: approximately 180 per week.
